FAQ
What are YOX?
YOX are big, bold, and nearly indestructible links shaped like a Y, an O, and an X. YOX click together with each other and with fun stuff you already have around the house, including TP tubes, paper towel rolls, cardboard boxes, and anything else kids can get their hands on. The goal of YOX is to spark creativity in kids (and grownups!), giving kids tools to be inventors and let their innate creativity run wild. Think less instruction, more imagination.
What are YOX made of?
YOX are made in Minnesota from high-quality ABS plastic and are designed to endure decades of creative play at home and in the classroom!
Where are YOX manufactured?
YOX links are made in Minnesota and are assembled by a bunch of teenagers in Saint Paul (not kidding - we make the kits with our kids!)
Shipping and Returns

- At this time, YOX only ships within the United States of America.

How big are YOX?
YOX are designed for large-scale creative play, so they are big! Y, O, and X links are approximately 4.5” tall.
Do YOX work with all TP tubes and paper towel rolls?
- TP tubes and paper towel rolls come in all shapes and sizes!
- YOX are designed to work with most commercially available tubes, but cheaper/thinner tubes will feel loose.
- If your tubes are too loose, try wrapping the ends with masking tape to create more pressure.
Where can I find more tubes?
Here is a link to some tubes we love. We also find the tubes at the core of Plant Paper to be pretty amazing (the toilet paper is nice, too.)
Are YOX links durable?
- YOX are made of super tough ABS plastic and designed to inspire generations of creative play.
- Our links are tough enough to endure years of play in preschools, daycares, and classrooms.
Can I donate my YOX when I'm done with them?
Don’t toss your YOX! We recommend taking your used YOX to the closest school, leaving them in a basket at the front door, ringing the doorbell, and running away.
Just kidding. Don’t do that. But we do recommend calling a nearby school, preschool, or daycare and asking them if they want your YOX. We bet they will say yes, if they don’t, let us know and we’ll help you find your YOX a home.
